Three more guys shot........ same general area a few blocks away....

this all took place a few blocks away from my shop.

Newspaper said the recovered murder weapon was a .25 Winchester pistol.

Now, Im not an expert...and feel free to correct me if I am wrong...but Winchester never made a .25 pistol did they?

Looking around, apparently Winchester released a HP round in .25 but thats about all I've found. Certainly seals the deal against .25 for SD if it only have a 50% kill rate with a headshot.

I'm just surprised they didn't say Glock!! I mean every time they report a gun anything from a flintlock to a rocket launcher is a Glock to them.

BTW, I live in Anderson and as far as I can tell here it is always either drug punks offing each other or drunks shooting it out outside bars. Occasionally, it is a domestic dispute. For example, I live in a nice middle class neighborhood 3 miles south of downtown, but there have been at least 4 murders within a mile of me in the last 10 years. 3 drug related and 1 domestic.

I was actually thinking about it the opposite way. Everybody always talks about about how limited the .25 round is, but it was used successfully to kill two people. Did he shoot all of the people in the head? I don't think he did, but cant find anything in the paper saying for sure. Supports the bullet placement argument...even a .25 round in the right place is lethal.

Strangely enough that took place two blocks due east of where the original shooting all took place.

Strangely enough that took place two blocks due east of where the original shooting all took place.

A 17 yr old was arrested in that shooting already.

A little birdie told me that there were 2 shooters in the original shootings. Stitts is a schizophrenic, and was at Howard on Wednesday to try to get back on his meds. He left before he was admitted to the psych ward, and then proceeded to start shooting people.

However, he apparently admitted to all 4 shootings...

According to

Assistant Chief of Police in Anderson (city) there were 3 shot-dead incidents in 2011, but none yet in 2012. Hardly a crime-spree.

More shooting yesterday. No injuries, but a house on W Monroe got shot up.

This is 2 blocks from a friend/coworker and 1 block from my moms house.
