I carry a Benchmade that my wife bought for me at Galyans on 38th Street around twelve years ago. Not sure what model it is, it was the most expensive knife they carried at the time @ $99.99. ;)

Curious as to why many people carry multiple knives at same time. What is the purpose there?

I carry a fixed blade as a back up to my pistol or if the situation doesn't call for a gun but more than a fist is required. The Spyderco Civilian is a last ditch SD knife. The Griptillain is the primary cutting tool. The Squirt on my keychain was a gift and it is a handy little bugger sometimes.

Those are my reasons, others may differ.
