Kimber Combat Carry

I have an opportunity to buy one of these. I have read a little about them, not much out there on the gun. Does anyone know much about them? I heard they only made 5000 of them and it was the first out of Kimbers custom shop. I have seen values from $650 to near $1000, does this seem about right?

From what I can figure out, like usual, it's all about condition. I would say at least 700 for one in good shape and as much at 900-1000 for one like new. So few come up for sale it's hard to put a value on them.

I have a KImber stainless covert 1of1000 mfg. 1999. I paid $900 and think it was a good buy. It is smooth, great trigger . The pre "II" KImbers with out the firing pin safety seem to be better IMHO. I would buy mine agin in a heartbeat. There is a picture of it in my photo album.

Is that an Officer's size grip? It almost looks like a CCO to me.

Yeah it preceded the CDP, it was built in 1999 and only 1000 were available!
