It's painfully obvious why he was arrested. The cops made it clear that they were popping him for recording them. No doubt he wasn't charged with anything once someone up the chain made it clear to the stasi that recording them in public wasn't against any law.

I bet the cops thought they were deleting the video, and probably did, but even though you delete a file, it is still there. There is file recovery software that is on the internet.

In the end, I get the feeling he was arrested for resisting or something with the struggle that ensued when they tried to put him in handcuffs.
