    Opinions vary.

Gotta agree with Boss on this one. 16 shot autos are pretty much a dime a dozen. While I appreciate and recommend owning a good production auto for its economy, simplicity and efficiency they just do not have the cool factor and following of enthusiasts like a revolver or 1911.

well, 8 rds of .357 is nothing to sneeze at!
And, in a revolver that reloads as fast as a semi, what's not to like? (It matches/beats a 1911)

Sure, If i need 15-20 rds, hopefully I have more than a handgun :)

I have had a few N frame .44's............can't do a frame that big DA.
    K frame OK.
Not tried an L frame yet.

Do think a 6" 686 to be a nice looking rig.
    Don't want the Plus version.

Don't want a lawyer lock either.

For what I do six shots is enough and the normal fluting of a cylinder is more pleasing to my eye.
I cannot stand the 10 shot .22 rf stuff (on classic platforms)...............it just looks so out of place.

    I have a 7 shot Taurus model 607 with a 4" ported barrel.
It's a great wheel gun to hunt with but I wouldn't want to lug it around all day every day.

It has taken a couple of whitetail and a coyote, and given me much fun at the range.

I've got a Taurus 608, 8 shot .357. It is ported and has a 6.5 inch barrel. I've taken it deer hunting a few times but never shot a deer with it. It is a pretty tight gun. It looks just like a S&W. Probably because it is a copy. The ports are angled just right that it flips your hair back when you shoot it.

Love the .357 mag Revolvers. An eight shot is nice, just a little bulky for carry. I carry a .357 mag a lot and in a six shot it is easy for me to conceal. Here is the gun I have been carrying for the last 30+ years. A Ruger Police Service Six.
