Not at all what I'd expect to hear from a true 2A supporter. Lot's of room for bans of sorts in those words.



^This part sounds like he wants assault weapons to be NFA stamped items, for example. In which case he sure doesn't mind making it honerous for law abiding citizens to acquire guns.

Pretty much what I felt. Did not feel reassured at all.

If I were an elected rep, I'd have a canned response for most constituent communications. I don't know why this is such a big deal.

same letter to me too. Sending him another one: No magazine bans, No expansion of background checks or 'record keeping'. Instead more to expand our 2nd amendment rights by repealing NFA and GCA. The 2nd amendment confirms our natural right to have the same firearms as commonly available to law enforcement and government agents.
