Don't know if this is a Dupe or not, but I came accross this today and it has a great deal of what appears to be properly vetted information ranging from Global warming to Gun crime as well as the Economy. Seems VERY independent. Check it out. Not sure if this is the right forum or not.

Wow, there's a ton of info in there. Looks like some good stuff, though some topics date back to the 90's.

Thanks--always on the lookout for ammo against the gun-controllers.

Facts and statistics are an important component to building the case for less gun control in this country and not more.

However, what I see missing right now is selling the benefits of gun ownership to the masses. I mean, look at the momentum the antis have right now. None of it is based on facts or stats because they have none to base their arguments. No, their arguments are made up of emotion.

We should be playing the same game coupled with facts. Winning the mind isn't enough, we have to win the heart too. Paying for airtime showing emotional stories of survival when only a firearm would keep them alive.

The woman this week protecting her children in a closet comes to mind. 6 shots to the face of the bad guy and he still lives. Gun protected her and her kids, but she needed a higher capacity weapon. What if it had been two guys? Three?

The woman in Tennessee (IIRC) who was on the phone with 911 asking whether or not to shoot this man trying to get into her house and the 911 operator telling her to protect herself and her children.

We have already won the argument. Look at the court rulings over the years. So how is it our rights are once again up on the offering table? Our side isn't selling.

Agreed. We have the numbers in are favor when comparing real facts. It seems the media continues to be our biggest enemy by burying the stories of lives saved with guns and parading headlines of crimes or deaths involving guns.

Excellent post, and one of the reasons liberals are so effective at advancing their agenda. They understand people almost always react first in a visceral way, which sets them on a particular path that is hard to change.

I just wish when they publish homocides they would break out the justifiable numbers.
