Yup. Let the mass murderers walk through Main Street unguarded on their way to trial.
Put the guards in school to protect someone we care about.
I've been amazed by the fact that the recent mass shooters who have lived to make it to court are guarded and escorted by armed guards. Add to this, the fact that all of our prisons are protected by armed guards.
Yet, America is aghast at the thought of guarding our children with the same care.
The first police officer on site should have been Holmes judge, jury and executioner.
One problem with that, if I read correctly somewhere is that the one of the cops said they thought he was an officer when they first arrived. The first police officer on site should have been Holmes judge, jury and executioner.

Now that's a novel idea.Yup. Let the mass murderers walk through Main Street unguarded on their way to trial.

It amazes me how everyone in this thread stands behind the right to bear arms, yet doesn't believe in the right to a trial by your peers as well as innocent until proven guilty. All of you so called "constitutionalists" should re-evaluate your lives.
I believe in the right to a fair trial. However, in this case, it should have never gotten that far. The first officer on the scene, upon seeing Holmes holding a weapon and standing over the bodies of dozens of murdered children should have put several bullets into the "suspect" and saved the courts a lot of time and money.

I would agree if this were the case, however, he was sitting in a car, visually unarmed. He has every right to a fair trial and sentencing, as given under natural law and enunciated by the constitution. The fact that some emotionally charged individuals (rightfully so) could possibly try to take his life, means that he deserves armed guards.

he is proven guilty by the smoking gun in his hand. No need for a trial. Hang him. now.
