"Dealers can I have your attention please"How did they announce something like that?
"Attention shoppers...."

if it was loaded the vendor would have been packing and leavingI think I know who they were talking about. I saw a cop and an official approach a table and talk with the vendor. He had been carrying his weapon. I saw him take it out of his waistband and put it away. It seemed as it had been loaded. IF this is the occurrence then it was NOT a gun dealer and the vendor had NO guns for sale. This vendor was practically totally NON gun related. That vendor shall remain nameless. Again...it is possible that this is not what they were referring to.
Come on guys, who's going to come in to a gun show and intentionally load a gun sitting on a dealers table? I don't care how "anti-gun" someone is, I don't think they would take the chance of killing someone just to make us look bad!
I'm sure it was a stupid "mistake", and it's inexcusable, but I don't think anyone did it intentionally!
I agree.
I don't want to believe that anyone who shares my planet could be that evil.
That said I'm sure that you remember why you have to remove that stupid seal to get into a bottle of Tylenol.

With all due respect isn't this similar to BATF gun walking scheme. They do it to make us look bad. How many have died because of that? I wouldn't put it past an anti-gunner to follow suit in their own way.
Heard the anouncement as well thought WTH. If all guns are zipped tied how did one get loaded???
...See Rule #1: All guns are always loaded.
Wow.Believe me, it happens.
I am, currently, retained on a gun show ND with SBI case in which it appears a loaded gun was zip tied on entry. Can't say any more than that.
some gun show promoters do not zip tie to render the gun inoperable. Some just zip it so they know it came through the front door.Wow.
I know you said "can't say any more", but does that apply to what platform?
Some guns I could picture being zipped & assumed empty, some it would seem impossible to zip without opening the action or something. Unless I'm not picturing the same thing you're talking about.

having worked to many shows I see to many things that I know are unsafe. So glad to be out of the business.Huh. Didn't know that!
Wow.

seems to me if you are going to take the time to zip it, why not make it inoperable
I found one Saturday. The guy pulled it out from under his table in a gun sock and handed it to me. Ruger 10/22. I pulled the bolt back to lock it and a live round fell out in my hand. When I handed him the round, he about died. I agree with rule #1. Cause sometimes its true.
