I know who the guy is, but I've never seen even one of the movies. Am I really missing anything? Should I get a package set and try to catch up? I really like the preview for the new one coming out and thought about trying to see them all over Christmas break or something. How many movies are we talking about?

You are very lucky. How cool it would be to be able to get the whole set, and start watching them one after the other, culminating in a trip to an Imax to see Skyfall!

    TROLL ALERT!

    ;)

Yes, you should get the box sets...starting way back with the originals. Roger Moore, Sean Connery are excellent in some of the earlier Bond films, as as the other actors.

Some of the earlier movies are a bit cheesy by today's standards, but still are well written, well directed, and have some great plots!

You will get jealous of his aim with a pistol when he shoots a BG on the move at 50 yards shooting from the hip with his Walther PPK. :D

Goldfinger is a must see. It is usually ranked as the "best" Bond movie. It's one of those movies that will pop-up on TV from time to time and I can't stop watching it.

Back in the day, the wife and I would sit down and watch the Bond-A-Thon that was played on TBS, I think, for a week. Great times.

Depending on who you ask, some say this one is the best Bond since Connery. Since we all know that no one can replace THE MAN. I would say, I really enjoyed Casino Royale, however, Quantum was not too bad, but was not on par with some of the other Bond movies. Although, was still better then more then a couple of the Dalton ones (not a slam against him as Bond, just the plots of those). I am looking forward to this one though

You my friend have been sheltered.
Take advantage of your newness and try to catch-up but it will take a while.

I would love to wipe out some memory just to re-watch some movie sets like Bonds again.
    A few movies out there I wouldn't re-watch.

Were you in a coma? :dunno:

You should also acquire a Nintendo 64 and a copy of Goldeneye 007 and play that for hours on end.

Ah...the good old days. Spent most of the evenings my Sophomore year of college playing that! We had a 96" Projection TV at our fraternity house and would play in the 4way split screen mode.

I sucked at it, so was the guy everyone would kill over and over again. Somehow they always new were my character would re-spawn at!

There are all kinds of people I ask that to. :D

Mainly in reference to them saying: "I've never seen Star Wars."

Loved it. If I could find people to play with I would probably still play it.

I was awesome. My friends hated playing with me. I always won. Picking the little guy (Oddjob....?) was key.
