BTW, what is the point of palm print recognition on a handgun? If you're an agent, the last thing you want to be worried about is whether or not your firearm is picking up your print and is unlocked mode.

It really doesn't matter if no one else can shoot your .380 does it? Pretty much anyone he'd run into is packing their own, larger caliber, firearm.

That being said, I'm sure that comes into play in the movie.

Of course it does. I don't think there's been a Bond movie yet where he was given a gadget he DIDN'T need for one particular situation to survive. With that kind of foresight, I want Q picking my lottery numbers...

Oh yeah, definitely want a PPK, and Albert Finney as the gamekeeper rocked.

If you have large hands...PPKs suck. The web of your hand wont appreciate it. The SIG 232 maybe a better option.

I wear XXL gloves and had a PPK/S and loved it. Of course there was a little learning curve on how high to hold it :D, but really after the first couple of "bites" it wasn't an issue anymore. The thing that I liked most about it was how friggin accurate it was, like shooting a laser. Mine was one of the older Interarms versions

I thought it was a step back from the P99. He should have been carrying a Walther PPQ! Just my humble opinion.

Great movie by the way. I think it was one of if not the best one yet. Got a glimpse into his past.

I always thought I wanted one because I grew up with Bond but a friend in TX bought one and after shooting it I was glad I never spent the $. as I recall in one of the bond books he said he actually preferred the Beretta .32 "skeleton" slide model over the Walther.

Am I dreaming or didn't he get his Beretta taken away and forced to use the Walther?

Now I gotta see this movie. I was done with Bond after the last one. Completely ruined the awesomeness that was Casino Royale.

I looked up the Bond handguns and he used the Beretta 418 with the "skeleton grip" (grip panels removed), 32 acp, in the first 5 novels; Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds are forever and From Russia With Love. Shocking!

    What Beretta?
I thought he used a Walther P99 in the previous movies. :dunno:
