This one is my 1974 Kawasaki S3 - three cylinder two stroke. I have been restoring this one for a couple of years now. I have a new set of stainless steel exhaust pipes being fabbed now. I can't wait to get them on the bike.
The FZR is my go-to bike that I can ride anywhere, anytime. It is dead reliable. I still have some carb tuning to do on the Kawasaki but it is a real sweet ride.
I will start them both up next week when the temps get in the 60's again.
Nice I had one of those, bought it new in 1977 at Jamestown Kawasaki, a KH400 triple. Mine was a deep metallic green. Loved that bike, put a set of Bill Wergis chambers on it, rejetted the carbs and it ran like a bat out of hell. I sold it and probably 8 years later saw it on a buy here cry here lot at Girls School road and Washington street. Tried to buy it back but the guy on the lot was a pr*ck, wanted WAY too much so I walked.
Back to the present, I went down the big bike road years ago, biggest was a CBX. I have no desire for a big bike and bought this last July. Yes it's only a Rebel, and yes I made fun of them back in the late '80's when I was in my knee dragging mode. I have had a blast riding this bike, been all over the central part of the state on it. I've done a lot of modifications to it this winter, removed the tail light and mounted one under the fender, removed the turn signals and replaced them with marker/turn lights.
Can't wait till warmer weather....
