I am confused by this statement. Their are plenty of private corporations that are 501c3's. Heck, I was on the board of one for a few years.Edit: When in doubt, follow the money. They're filing as a 501(c)(3) entity. They can't be a private corporation with this status. Of course this makes it clear as mud.

Private, as in business private. Privately owned. Sorry, I should have clarified that I was looking at the IRS definitions of 501c3s at the time.
