Any meat that you find in Indiana is edible, and that goes for most all of North America. I would bet that almost everything that isn't edible would be found along the coast in the form of sea-life. If it walks on land in NA then its edible. But, as mentioned, taste would be a concern.

I'm NO expert but I would think yes .

There are parts of certain animals / reptiles (poison glands) that I've heard you can't eat . I've never heard of a poisonous bird before .

The Army survival manual says you can eat damn near anything as long as you cook it long enough .

I've always heard that bear meat has parasites (liver flukes, perhaps?) that are very nasty and not easily killed by cooking. I haven't, however, eaten one to find out firsthand.

organ meat is high in vitamin A and can make one sick if you eat to much..
It also can harm you if you have diet limits..
wild game has a higher chance of having parasites or infection that can harm you.. You want to learn how to inspect the meat ..


Some schools of thought think eating top level predators can lead to mad cow...
