A "GunBlast" article from 2009 states that Ruger had sold over 5.7 million of them since it was introduced in 1964. At that rate, which I think is probably conservative, they would have sold somewhere around 7 million as of today. Even considering guys who have several of them, that's a lot of people who think they're dandy guns. At one point I had an even dozen. I'm down to five now, including four different calibers, and a Charger in .17 HM2.
