Internet access in rural area

I have Wild Blue and my son just got a Verizon MIFI. The MIFI is MUCH faster. We are not in the preferred zone for Verizon but it works great. He can even do Online Gaming so you know the connection is good. And... we have lots of trees.

Tom, is this from their cell towers, or what kinda internet are you talking about?

I am assuming its from their cell towers. All I know is the wife went to the Verizon store in Greenwood to get a new phone. When she got home she said Verizon will be out February 11 to test signal strength for internet.

Excede is $54 per month for 10gig. Again satellite should be your last choice but if it is the only choice you have Excede is pretty good.
