Just got back from the Ron Paul speech in Bloomington. Good man. It was all pretty standard Ron Paul stuff; life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and security in your home and property rights. No surprises.

Just curious if any other INGOers were in attendance?

I was there. This was the first time I have heard him speak in person and the second time ever. I heard him on Meet the Press on sunday morning before Tim Russert died. I thought it was different then. I saw the post on here in september and I decided to go.

    Observations in no particular order:
    1) He has incredibly long fingers thank God he is an OBGYN and not a proctologist.
    2) I wish he could have stuttered and stammered a little bit.
    3) I liked 95% of what he had to say.
    4) What a diverse crowd.
    5) Tell a college crowd dope smoking is ok and they are pretty much on your side.
    6) I am getting old.
    7) I am all for free market, liberty and private property and people coping with their own screw ups.
8)I love his voting record in congress.
    9) He seems genuine and honest.
    10) He is dead nuts wrong about nullification being Constitutional.
    11) I support raw milk for those people who want to drink it. Having seen a cow step in the bucket with a **** covered hoof many times I will take mine pasturized.
    12) What if we brought all our troops back to US soil???
    13) I question his being sent a draft notice in 1962 but need to check that.
    14) Gold standard cannot be worse than what we have today.
    15) I have a feeling he is a very funny man.
    16) He seems a little down on alcohol. Ugly people everywhere depend on it.
    17) Coeds dress provocatively is still the best thing on a college campus.

I can't believe you didn't let me know you were in town. It would have been worth the price of admission and dinner to hear your commentary.

Admission was free so you might have gotten your money's worth.

I was unable to attend, I was a bit disappointed in my friend Sam
s introduction, he seemed unprepared, and a bit uncomfortable to be speaking. But ended up well. But then again it not too many people can be comfortable speaking infront of 1880 people. I have seen ron speak at CPAC I am always amazed that he speaks off the cuff, and he speaks very well.
