A plot that has been up for sale in our area that is zoned mixed use has suddenly spring to life with construction gear. They've dug a retention pond and appear to be scraping for a parking lot. However I can't find any of the usual work boards with the permits posted.

Any way to look it up?

County zoning and building inspectors office is where I'd start to look.

I don't care enough to drive downtown pay to park, etc. was hoping somebody knew of a web tool on Indy.gov.

eta: I found it. Permitsandcases.indy.gov. Whatever it is it will have a sign and be unimproved outbuildings. Sounds like a public storage place to me. Pretty small I think, but that's the only thing I can think of in that combo.

And it gets more and more interesting. Checked with my township civic council on Facebook. They recall seeing gas station/c-store permits.

    I guess we shall see.
