M&P 9 a gift for my BIL who got ordained to marry my wife and I. Wendall told me to hit the start button after he got the laser engraving machine set up. Now I have officially engraved a firearm.

PSA 16" SS is a gift for a great friend of mine.


I got a little too excited and didn't notice the flag was upside down on the test burn. Regardless I'm happy with the end results. My friend teared up when a gave him his new custom rifle.

It took 10 minutes to engrave the guns but I was there for an hour shooting the breeze and had a good time.

I have with the NFA engraving. I did it with black so it would blend in.

The etching is going to be more like a paint job rather than color fill I'm thinking because of the lack of depth into the metal. Engravings similar to NFA depths should take a color fill I think.

Got my first tax stamp back yesterday and gave Wendall a call. He had an opening in the afternoon so I rode out with my brother to get my Seekins lower engraved with my trust info. He is a really nice guy and we talked for at least 30 minutes about guns, suppressors, etc while he set everything up and did the engraving. I just got the basic trust name and address but i saw a nice Glock slide that he had recently finished. Here's the engraving and a full pic of my first "from the ground up" build.
