Did you know that the Texas Rangers were modeled after the Indiana Rangers?

I have studied the Battles for the Old Northwest over Indiana and Ohio between the Revolution and War of 1812 as my ancestors came to this area during that time. I had never heard of the Indiana Rangers so thank you for putting this information on this site. It gives me something to dig up and read about this winter!

Wow, thank you! I went to school in Vincennes and thought I knew at least some Indiana history, but had no idea that Indiana had Rangers in that context.
