The Walter 9mm it is light, accurate, and good looking. Has very little recoil and the paddle mag release very easy to use for left or right hands. And is easy to conceal.

I'm not sure how to determine the best. For me, the Ruger Sr9 and 9c fit the Bill. The Sr9 is thin, for easy concealment, fits my hand perfectly with the backstrap adjusted to my liking, and after about 500 rounds, the trigger settles in to be just right, again, for me. I've shot much better than I expected in competition with it, too. It is virtually corrosion proof and has been 100% reliable. I've had 3 of them and shot thousand of rounds of a wide variety of ammo, and never had a failure. That's pretty good for a gun that costs about $400.
