Will the police have a presence at the "protest"?
If so, why?
I have no idea how this protest was organized. Maybe one of the IMPD guys can answer that question.

Far as I know, it's going to be at the state house and not a "march" . Yes there will be police there, but that's what we do.

Are these "protesters" from the violent snowflake wing of the Dem party? Are they going to be intimidating the "protesters" by their presence?

I don't think so. Impd won't put up with their BLM BS law breaking. They will beat the **** out of them. And I'll bring them water bottles and Gatorade to rehydrate for round 2This is expected in Indy?
So a friend and I are going as inactivists. I'm open to suggestions for slogans for our signs. So far I'm going with "I see merits to both sides of this argument" and he's going with "I'm ambivalent on this issue" but if you guys come up with something better, we'll use it.
A uniformed Police Officer in a marked Police Car at the Police HQ conducting official police business is voter suppression (or at least discouragement)?? Let me check the calendar...yeah it's 2016.I was accused of trying to discourage early voting by parking my marked police car at the City-County building. I politely explained to the Prius-driving snowflake that police HQ was inside and I was there on business.

I wasn't even in uniform. So I guess I was just half-suppressing him.A uniformed Police Officer in a marked Police Car at the Police HQ conducting official police business is voter suppression (or at least discouragement)?? Let me check the calendar...yeah it's 2016.
It isn't the people that understand what a protest actually means that are the problem.I think this is a Trump protest, and I don't believe that the people, if they wanted to be stupid, are behaving out of fear of IMPD, as oppose to those who participate, simply not being those involved in that type of stuff.
