Illinois gun owners just won a favorable court verdict regarding carry. This action is simply to throw the "full court press" back up against the Illinois gun owner, seen it countless times. However, they usually they wait for the iGold march at the capitol for this legislation.

Somewhere Kirk posted: "This is their last stand" It applies pretty well here.

More smoke and mirrors. Illinois is circling the drain, this is a lovely diversion from the real issues.

BTW: It amazes me how broke this state can be, yet it has plenty of funds to defend it's insane legislation.

Illinois Senate v. Judge Posner and the 7th Circuit, who will win? (hint, the guy in black)

i dislike how in the comments, people talk about this issue as if it were an issue like carbon emissions or something... "if we implement this measure the outcome will be less of whatever.." Its not an issue like that, its in the BOR its not up for debate or manipulation. at all. period.

I for one can't wait for a gun ban. I'll have no problems with and won't think twice (or even once) about blasting rounds towards anyone who tries to take my weapons.

My back is ruined, I can barely walk some days, my heel is all messed up. You take away my weapons, you make me defenseless, since there is no way I could fight anyone. Anyone who tries to make me defenseless deserves to die.

Illinois is a perfect example of what Obama and gang want to do to the whole country. Illinois is a socialist republik. I'm so glad my wife agreed with me to bail out. Us Hoosiers have to appreciate that Indiana is truly a free state compared to Illinois. (been here over two years, hope I can say I'm a Hoosier)

If a law said "No person shall own, possess..." and I was traveling through the state, and had a gun which was prohibited to be owned/possessed within that state, how is that handled?

For the sake of this hypothetical scenario, in my home state and the state to which I am headed the gun is legal. The only issue is that the state I am in at that moment has outlawed the gun.
