If Obama had lost would those who voted for him have wasted their votes? Or those who voted for Gore or John Kerry?

Do you realize how the democrats would have destroyed either Ron Paul or Gary Johnson had they been running the main opponent of Obama? Both would have been painted as racists, as kooks. That they hate old people because they do not believe in social security and such.

Well how would the LP look to the college educated? Like a bunch of rednecks? What would the MSM do to them? Make them look like a bunch of militia types? Or potheads?

If you threaten the establishment, especially the democrat party elites, you will be destroyed. The democrats are the dominate party. They dictate what normal is. They control the culture via their control of the universities, Hollywood and the MSM. They are the ruling party. They are the party of the rich.

You guys better shift gears. You qualified for that a few years ago... Once you cross that threshold, your party is no longer just a protest vote.

If you don't be mindful of putting up quality principled candidates, you are going to start (or should I say keep) losing voters. You can't afford to bleed off a couple percent of your voters every year or you'll be wasting all that effort you put in.
