If I could have any 1911, I would take a G19 or a second generation Taurus 24/7 (pictured in my avatar). The 1911s just to not work for me. Small payload and touchy trigger. Just not my thing.

This is pretty close to what I'd get. Drop the night sights for plain black target sights, a little more undercut to the trigger guard, an ambi safety and a naked slide, and it's perfect.

I love the flush barrel, the countersunk slide stop, the perfectly beveled mag well, and the really nice border on the front strap checkering.
