    If I could have any 1911, I would take a G19 or a second generation Taurus 24/7 (pictured in my avatar). The 1911s just to not work for me. Small payload and touchy trigger. Just not my thing. :dunno:

    Ya'll go ahead on, though, and enjoy your 1911. They work for many folks. ;)

    This is pretty close to what I'd get. Drop the night sights for plain black target sights, a little more undercut to the trigger guard, an ambi safety and a naked slide, and it's perfect.

    I love the flush barrel, the countersunk slide stop, the perfectly beveled mag well, and the really nice border on the front strap checkering.
