    Which btw, is only 10 years as you and I count time. Then subtract 6 months for a GED and 2 years for a college education then 2 years for time served. If he gets maxed, he will likely be out in about 6 years.

    His 2 years of time served is = to 4 years. He plead guilty, while locked up, to the domestic battery which is the call that initiated the events. I am waiting to be disappointed with the sentence.

    Sentenced today to the max that the law allows, including the habitual criminal time. Works out to 23 years for everything. Now that sounds like a long time, but in Indiana it is 1/2 of the time for good time credit. Then subtract the almost 5 year credit that he has and it is down to actual 8-9 years. Then he can get treatment, GED and other programs so it could be as little as 6-7 years. And of course there will be appeals.
