Some of you may know I have been saving for a few months to buy a new high end folder. I was looking at Emerson and some higher end Spyderco offerings and of course my go to for folders is usually Benchmade. But I wanted something different. So I checked out what I call the "forbidden zone" (knives over $300.00) and clicked onto Chris Reeve knives section at one of my go to online drooling sites. There I found Sebenza, a knife I had only read about but never thought I would own. Scrolling through I find one that strikes me like lightning. A large Sebenza 21 with the Celtic eternity knot engraved into it. But it was out of stock. Now I was on a mission and went out onto the internet to find the Celtic Sebenza. And find one I did, oh my droogies. At an online blade store I just happened to have an account set up with already. I had some reservations about spending so much on a pocket knife that I figured I would just put in the safe and look at once a year. But I got it in the mail this morning and It hasn't left my hands yet. I had to force my self to put it down to type this. Now that I have it I don't want to "collect" it. Everything I read is true, once you hold the Sebenza you want to use it, it becomes a knife you don't ever want to be without. I understand now. The only problem is now I want another one. Like I said, I think I just made an expensive mistake. This will cost me before it's over.

Pics will come later when I have my camera handy.

Oh trust me I've been a blade addict for some time. Since I was 5 or so. So about 20 years I've been dealing with this addiction to sharp and shiny things. This is most it's ever cost me at one time though. But I really love this knife. Any anything with a Celtic theme just pushes it over the edge for me.

Funny you should say that because I put a Sebbie 25 on my wish list. It will probably be my next CRK. :rockwoot:

Yeah the sebenza 25 is sweet a little hard to find though. But once you get to the CRK or any other brand close to that (IE strider, microtech, ect ect) Its hard to go back down to the "regular" knives.

    pffff...it's just $400 to $500 for a knife, a kidney will cost you a lot more. :)

Very good point. I am happy I got it though. I guess I should've hit you up since I've been bugging you about a couple other knives recently but I kinda figured the chances of you having exactly the one I wanted would be slim to non. I will get back to you on that Emerson as soon as I get recovered from this. :yesway:

This one is an addiction like no other. Much like the 1911 addiction once the high end knife bug bites it ain't easy to fight off.

As Brad said always look on the bright side lol.

I hope I never need to sell my Sebenza to buy a kidney. That would be a tough call.

    'droogies'. I love the reference!

I was wondering how many would pick up on that. :yesway: Points to you from your friend and humble narrator.

That is just beautiful. I suggest you start buying fruit that needs to be cut, grill steaks since they need to be cut, don't forget the kabobs. You can cut the foil on a bottle of something, and cut the end of the cigars. However, you have a very serious problem and I suspect it is way too late for therapy; so, just go with it!
