I now have a daughter!

We have signed adoption paperwork and she's coming to our home in three hours!

Now I can relate to the daddy-daughter threads, over-protection threads, and other such things. Life is going to be a tad different in our home but we'll still outnumber the chicks 3-2.

We used Hanley and Myhls as the attorneys and they were wonderful. Very patient, knowledgeable and handled everything quickly for us.

We really weren't waiting. Two weeks ago we heard of a need and offered to adopt her. We haven't done the home study yet (absurd concept if you ask me. $2000 to prove your home is fit to adopt??? If it isn't, do they take our existing kids away?)
I know that's WAY faster than the norm but both parents wanted it and signed off. I still think we need judicial approval but everything else seems complete.

I have a two year old daughter...strawberry-blond w/ BIG BLUE eyes.

I'm finding out more and more just how weak of a man I am.

But my resolve quickly comes back because I also have a freaking two year old kid who is certainly acting like a two year old kid.
