Let me see if I'm following along correctly. A guy who made an account a while ago, has not been on n quite some time. He receives a friendly happy birthday email from the site administrator, he comes back on and becomes an active member of the community. He then gets accused of racing towards 50 posts, told his posts are not quality, and it is suggested his thread will be locked.

Meh. While I don't remember the specifics, I trust my own judgement... at least back to 2013.

Anyone even long time members have to observe the 50 quality post rule. Everybody no matter length of membership.
It does not matter if making a run or not. The rule is the rule regardless.
That we sometimes call out someone that is innocent of this is nothing new but again......read the rules before diving in.

I sent our new friend a PM containing this rule trying to do him a solid and received a snarky response back.
This puts our new friend in a bad light as does some of his commentary.

The rules is the rules boys and girls. I got called on this when I 1st joined.
