This is a very good point. I enjoy a mag dump, but it has to be safe. Just as with anything else firearm related. From a practical perspective, I have no problem with shooting fast...provided you can keep your shots on target. Shoot as fast as you can hit, and train to get faster. But sending uncontrolled, unaccounted-for rounds downrage, busting up target stands, or worse, exiting the range and penetrating the neighbor's wall 1/2 a mile away (real life call I took just a few weeks ago) makes you reckless and a danger to everyone around you.
At the end of the day, it's your gun and your money. Do whatever floats your boat provided you're not endangering the lives or property of others.
We interrupt this thread to show you real mag dumps.. Including 40MM speedfeeding.
I was taught not to lose hope when faced with a submachine gun. I was told, "One well-aimed shot will silence one!".The question is whether those that do mag dumps are capable of actual marksmanship and accuracy?
Verses the opposite, where accomplished shooters are capable of shooting fast with precision?

When I was a soldier, it was called a mad minute. Mainly used for troop morale. I never heard of any opfor hurt by it.
I thought then, and continue to think, it's a waste of ammunition.
Great thought, I had a class that taught how to take down a jet with an M-16.I was taught not to lose hope when faced with a submachine gun. I was told, "One well-aimed shot will silence one!".
I believe the British, with 15 well shot rounds during WW1 in under a minute.Hm...I thought the "mad minute" was something else involving a certain number of accurate placements in a minute.

Pretty much! If only they could have some sort of screening before they allow just anyone to have a Gun Tube!I'll tell you why. The amount of gun content on YouTube is reaching full saturation where every gun has been discussed ad nauseum in every situation by every person. The only thing left is ridiculous comparisons to get views.
Video games don't count as training!Great thought, I had a class that taught how to take down a jet with an M-16.

(and by Gun Tube I’d include any of the Dipsh@t not so sound trainer wanna be’s)
We don't do enough of that. I know one super qualified individual who has been calling out a lot of stupidity and he definitely takes a lot of crap from fan bros.Education is much preferred over censorship.
YouTube is already going way beyond public sentiment on regulationg and demonitizing gun tubers to not post video at all.
A much better plan is to publicly highlight the dangerous, the idiots and those posting bad information.
Couldn’t say, never played one. But do remember the class though. And the other stupid one on how to protect yourself from an atomic bomb with a shelter half.Video games don't count as training!
If you don't practice, you'll never get good at it!If you aren't doing a mag dump or two into a trash can every week, then you aren't really shooting.
