And I got through!
Mr. Snerdley asked about my comment for the show.
I told him Rush had just spoken about how the liberal left was in a complete tizzy over the massive increase in gun sales since the shooting at Sandy Hill.
He said they not only could not understand WHY people were buying guns at record rates, and were upset that that many more guns will "be on the streets."
I said I had more of a question. I asked if Rush thought the liberal left would rather have had all of those guns NOT sold in the past few months, then let's find out the impact of all those guns being sold. I want to know, if NO guns were sold in the past 3-4 months, how much money would that be out of the monthly retail sales nationally?
Would that be enough to drag this "slowly but steadily growing" economy back into recession numbers?
Another question I had for him was, If you shut down gun manufacturers, or even severely curtail sales, how many manufacturing jobs will be lost? With no gun sales, who's going to buy ammo? No ammo sales means more manufacturing jobs lost. All of these lost manufacturing jobs equate to lost retail jobs.
Mr. President, do you really want to go there?
Mr. Snerdley told me that they would need actual numbers to intelligently talk about this on the show, but he thought the questions were intriguing, and said he would pass the idea along to Rush.
If you here Rush talking about monthly retail sales MINUS gun sales, chances are good a fellow Ingo'er put the bug in his ear.
