    If you can get the base of it 3' under the surface you can run a 12v bilge pump to keep it circulating. Have it enclosed or stack straw bale around it if you are concerned with wind chill.

    Straw is not the best. Maybe if you wrapped it somehow and was able to provide a low heat source inside of the wrap. The best insulator for outdoors in the winter I found was snow. I know that will not help in your situation.

    Compare the cost of burying it now to running some type of system four months out of the year for next however long.
