My true first was when I was about 14-15, a Christmas gift, it was a S&W 22S that went for around $220 or so.
When I was 18, I paid for my very own Ruger P89, $350-ish.
Over the years, I'd sold all my guns until a few years back when, to start my new collection, I got a S&W 686+ for around $700.
The first gun I ever bought and not given was a s&w 1911 e series. $950 love this gun and shoot all the time. Buy what you love not when is just cheap. You'll be happier later
My first handgun was a 1953 Romanian Tokarev I got last summer, but I traded it away for a CZ-82. 7.62x25 is a blast to shoot, but is now about one of the most expensive calibers
High Standard Sentinel. Dad paid $25 for it and gave it to me to carry on the farm. I was 14 years old. I put over 10,000 rounds through that gun before I could afford to buy a better gun.
An 1851 Navy replica cap and ball that I bought at a gun shop on an theme/amusement park for $80. Dogpatch it was. Got caps, balls, black powder all to carry in the bag through the park. Different days those were.
I paid around $425 for my GP100. Picked it up at a pawnshop in Fort Wayne. It had a few polishable scratches but for the love of me it had no other flaws. I consider myself pretty lucky.
My first handgun was a Colt police positive that I picked up for $100 and refinished it. I would latter sell it for $200. One more gun that I wish I had back. I picked up a new Colt Trooper to replace it. I liked the looks better and it was in 357 mag. I still have it.
