I have a pair of Gen II Glock pistols...a Glock 19 (built in 1992) and Glock 23 (built in 1995)...bought 'em both still NIB in 2010 and they are my two favorite Glock pistols to date!
I bought my G19 used in 1995. Serial # dates it to early 1990. I think I paid $350 for it. Still carry it daily. It's got tens of thousands of rounds through it. I couldn't estimate a round count. Extractor just broke a few weeks ago and I replaced it. It's been with me through dozens of training classes, including several high round Tactical Response classes. I've carried it in several countries. Eventually I guess it'll break and I can move up to a newer model-maybe something made in the late 90's
$200 for a Systema 1911, still got it and will never sell it. Made on Colt machinery in Argentina, wonderful wonderful gun. They were steals and often looked over as junk because they were made in Argentina.
Was never into guns until someone tried breaking into my house. Went out the next day and bought one with no research. Was a Taurus PT140 when they first and out. Paid like $400 for it! I wish I could go back in time and kick myself. Lol. Went home and done some research. Sold it soon after and been collecting them ever since.
Free, I inherited a 1980s manufacture model 10 with a 4 inch bull barrel. Sweet jesus those things are accurate and make good hits
Though the first I bought was a Romanian Tokarev for 180. The thing had some issues, a broken firing pin, and 7.62x25 surplus dried up around then (2013) so I went to a gun show and traded up for a cz-82 and traded my buddy for a EG Makarov. Traded my buddy the EG makarov back as he loved that gun so much for a yugo mauser, but last spring I got a unissued bulgarian makarov, and ever since then its been my go to carry and range toy.
