    There is a fine line between the benefits of hunting high and the drawbacks that the steep shot angle presents. Personally I feel that if you HAVE to hunt thirty feet in the air to get deer close then you are doing something wrong and need to work on your basics. Height is all to often used as a substitue for woodsmanship. That is not to say that I NEVER hunt high. There are a few situations where I will go high but never over twenty.
