I saw that on an episode of, of all things, "how it's made". Very cool process, one I'd like to actually see in person.

Yes, I would like to see the mechanics involved as well, I can't figure
out if the pattern material is liquefied then how does the pattern hold
up to the irregular shapes without distortion? Seems like an easier
job with camo but a pattern like carbon fiber could be a p.i.a. due to stretching, running????

He did an AR-10 for me. It looks great. You may have seen it at his table at the 1500

They have many sample items including the mouse in the office. I asked him about what it cost to have done ,and don't take this as an exact quote or anything. He said for a rifle about 150 for the whole gun and if you just do the hand guard and buttstock about 80 again this is not an exact quote don't take this to him and tell him that is what you want to pay or anything like that.

Jeff Feaster from Summit 3D Graphics in Franklin, IN is the guy at the Indy1500. He did a few AR-15's for me. One was done in carbon fiber and another in a straight wood grain. They look awesome. He is not limited to guns. He can apply a print of your choice to anything that can be dipped in water. I've seen him do engine parts, interior parts, motorcycle part, including tanks, fenders, ect... Helmets, game controls, it's unlimited what he can do. They even have the zombie/skull camo! I remember watching it on Modern Marvels Camouflage, and think it is awesome, but I do not understand how it works, it must be a miracle!

Here in the SW part of the state, we have Midwest Hydrographics located in Evansville. They do an awesome job from what I've been told, and the prices are reasonable. I'll find out first hand in a week or two...I've got a couple of items I'm going to have them do.
