Me and the wife are looking to get away for the night next saturday, thought about going to Indy and just getting a room for the night. Would like to find a hotel that has a bar or walking distance of a bar or club. Not from Indy so any help is appreciated.

I stayed at the Omni down town and it has a nice little bar downstairs. You can even take the drinks up to your room with you if you want.

There are also a lot of bars down town, so no matter where you stay - if it's down town, it's within walking distance of a bar.

The new JW Marriott has a pretty busy bar in it.

Also, anything downtown is easy walking distance to several bars.

J.W. Complex (3 or 4 different hotels right there), Canterbury, Hampton Inn, Embassy Suites, Conrad Hilton (big dollars)...but honestly, they are all so easy to walk from this you shouldn't worry about a bar in the hotel. For classically made cocktails, try Libertine or Ball and Biscuit. For good beers there are lot and lots of choices.

The JW Marriott, the Marriott or the Courtyard next to the JW. There's Shula's inside the Westin. The Omni has a Capitol Grille next to it. As the other's said, you can walk all over downtown from any number of places (relatively safely) depending on what you are looking for

Normally when we goto the Supercross we stay at the Crown Plaza, and park in the Pan Am Plaza. This year we are staying at the Embassy Suites, where would be a good place to park close to the hotel?

Besides having their own parking, there is a garage on the east side of Illinois St, just north of Washington (next to Buca di Beppo).

If you're downtown and like live music make sure you hit The Slippery Noodle. it's just a short walk from Lucas Oil Stadium on Meridian. Walking around down there is no problem and there is always plenty of cabs too.
