Just terrible. From the sound of news reports, the husband was unarmed when he went to investigate. Assailant shot the husband and stole their car.

I used to live in the area. This happened on the Southwest corner of 79th /Harcourt and I lived on the Southeast corner. I do lawncare in the area as well. Things like this keep reminding me why I carry.

I heard this on the radio at work Friday afternoon. This is terrible. I feel for the family and friends of this man. I can't imagine what they're going through.

My wife knows the wife, she is in treatment for cancer. My prayers go to her and hers.

From the look of the house, this was not the sort of neighborhood where one would expect to need to be armed. Unfortunatley, no place is guaranteed to be safe and that is why the right to self-defense must be kept for all of us and should include every place.
