I'm sure I am not alone here but holy crap do I spend a lot of money on gun stuff, most of all its on things I really don't need!! I am currently on an ammo kick of 7.62x39. I also have a stash of stuff sitting in my shopping cart on Midwayusa.com but have not pulled the trigger on that yet. Am I the only one that just buys sh*t for the sake of buying it? I like having ammo because when I do go shooting I do not have to worry about running low and I alway let who ever I am going with shoot a bunch of my stuff too.

I wish I could spent more money on gun stuff! I'd especially like a bunch of 7.62! I can't say much though, I do the same thing. I had stuff in my cart from BCM for about 3 or 4 days before I finally bought it all... It's a problem!

You are NOT alone in this affliction. However...in my case it is buying actual guns themselves not so much "gun stuff". My wife actually believes I have a problem and need professional help? I am embarrassed to admit this, but I have actually gone without buying clothes, shoes etc... for myself and spent the money on guns. Other things do not suffer though. I guess I am a "gun junkie" mainly Marlin lever actions.

I seem to have the opposite problem. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to spend enough on firearms and firearm related accessories.
This is evidenced by the fact that every time I come into money, something gun related pops up on my radar.
    It's a vicious cycle...

I guess you could call this a hobby...that's why we have hobbies---to use up all that disposable income we have. :D

I do not regret buying any of the guns I have bought.

I do not regret buying any of the ammo I have bought.

I regret buying some of the "tactical junk" I have bought (holsters, pouches, carriers, etc).

All in all, I wish I had bought more ammo when it was much cheaper, same with some of the firearms I did not buy when I should have.

I have a tub full of stuff I thought I needed it had to have at the moment. I just make another INGO member a great deal and continue the cycle.

There is something to be said about this! I have been trying to think the same way!

:+1: I don't put the guns and ammo that I've purchased in the same category as the "gun stuff." Now, with that being said I would agree that I have definitely bought way more "gun stuff" than I should have.

About once a year I fill a box up with extras I have acquired from trades. Then I sell it all at a gun show and use the money to soften the blow on a new toy.

Yeah. I have that box of stuff I don't use too. I have cut down on the amount of guns. When I go to the range I always grab the same 5 or 6 so I just decided to stock up on ammo. Then the 7.62x39 walked into my life and I feel like I am starting all over again. Next on the list is a case of subsonic 9mm

I guess the gun sports are addicting. Not like booze, or fast cars, but in knowledge and personal enjoyment. We all enjoy a sound decision, bargain shopping, and target/competition shooting. It is like a bowler who buys a different ball, then returns to his older standby.

Working with firearms is a passion that feeds the desire to see and learn more. Glocks, 1911s, Sigs, Smith & Wessons, and so on all share a mark of quality firearms, some depended on for our safety, at home and work. Hunting sports changes seasons, so should you be allowed a different firearm option? Yes, absolutely!

You need holsters, pouches, spare mags, extra slings, ammo to shoot, over the years it always adds up. If you puge sell, great. A used box of holsters always catches my eye as a resource for leather, sometimes hard to find. Recently bought a Bianchi Cyclone leather holster for a K Frame. Was a whole $15, the brown was slightly worn, so with black boot polish, it looks brand new. Fits my M10-4in S&W perfect. It has become a favorite when working outdoors or hiking. Miss carrying the 4 in Smith. Refreshed..

Don't feel that upon entering a LGS, sweaty palms, and looking at everything offered is a disease. It's a lifetime of entertainment. For me, better than any Casino, or body swallowing habit.
    Enjoy.

I don't regret most of the money spent in this hobby, but there is a lot of it that was just wasted on junk. Nylon holsters, bi-pods that clamp to the barrel or plastic spotting scopes that you are happy to see fall apart and be done with. And cheap red dot sights. Oh, so many cheap red dot sights.
