    The question is always "what is reasonable?" there are no bright lines and if you can't convince a prosecutor you were reasonable, you may have to convince a jury. That goes for civil or criminal cases.

    However, an innocent who gets hit with a pass through of a definite bad guy- that's easier to defend for a few reasons. It does not, however, necessarily "get you off" without having to face possible charges or a trial.
