I used a Remington 700 chambered in 270, with 130 grain Power Core loads (from Winchester). The guy shown in the photo I posted earlier had a Remington Model 70 in the same caliber.
One buddy of mine used a SCAR-17. Another was running his 30.06.
Basically, take what you have that can hit out to 200 yards and knock down a 300# critter. I wouldn't take anything below my 270.
