    Can you cite the federal codes (one case where federal law is a good thing?)? I'd love to sink some teeth into our foolishness, especially since the new management company wants to take violators to court instead of putting a lien on the property (per the covenants)

    Placing a lien does nothing to correct the issue. If someone puts up a structure against the covenants, a lien won't get it taken down.

    Also, liens require renewal (ongoing costs) and you don't get a dime until the property sells.


    Lawyers however, want money now and know how to work the courts.

    I'm not sure what your issue is; perhaps you'd like to elaborate. I see you state "management company", which gives me the chills. Up here, we've had problems with paid management companies in the past.

    I didn't have the code number and I may have read it/had it read for me in error, but last I left it nobody could make you take them down. I'll defer to a more current or detailed reading. :) Biblical study has nothing on the feral .gov code.
