Also, I'm watching the Military History Channel right now, and Modern Marvels just came on. It's featuring Combat Training tonight. Right now they're talking about the Marines, but they may cover other branches, too.
I liked the Canadian's story the most, how he was talking about how the Taliban just stood there while he planted a round in the target's backpack and just lined up for another shot. That was sweet. I mean, White Feather is legend, and sniping is technically one shot, one kill, but it's just a sweet distance record regardless. And that soldier, Corporal Pierce? Man, he was nailing insurgents in Fallujah left and right, apparently: "he owned that kill zone."
Sure as hell did.
Wish they'd included Simo Hayha, though. That guy was the bee's knees by anyone's standard. I think he's still got the highest number of confirmed kills, but it cost him, he's missing most of his lower jaw. Great story, though. He's probably my favorite, with White Feather a close second.
