So I am 99% finished with the build now...
Would be 100% but every gun store I went to didn't sell the MOE picatinny inserts..

    Bah humbug...

Is it a double lugged receiver? I'm guessing no since you're using a USGI stock. Regardless, it's a nice build. I'm sure it will group well with that barrel.

Smith Enterprises is making new M-14 receivers, but damn, those builds are more expensive than a LaRue OBR. I can't bring myself to build one because of the cost.

Well she went out and performed wonderfully after i bumbled around for an hour...

I rotated my scope 90 degrees to keep brass from striking it and forgot that U/D became L/R and L/R became U/D

So over the course of 45 minutes and a half pack of squares I finally realize that instead of dropping the reticle all I have been doing for 45 minutes is going left and right...

For an optic I was very iffy about the BEC Gold performed flawlessly. I was pegging 2 liters and cans at 100 yrds to 200 yrds.

Here she sits in her dirty glory awaiting a turn at the Hoppes.......

No where near here unfortunately. I go with a friend up near Gas City. But we could go to Atterbury just to warm em up a bit. ;)

Beautiful rifle! I couldn't justify the cost so I am just finishing my LR 308 with 24 SS bull barrel, hoping to see 1/2 MOA from it - but just have to wait and see.

I feel like I've seen that truck and that neighborhood but with a White stock M1A sitting on it...?

Maybe I spent too much time on armslist :dunno:

Me too. I had bought a M1A Loaded and had good results with it, but it just wasn't a tack driver that I wanted. I already had dropped a bunch of money in it and didn't want to dump more. I sold it and bought a LR 308. I have never looked back. It gets far better results then the Loaded ever would. I still enjoy shooting my Socom II, but the LR 308 has just better inherent accuracy.:twocents:
