Henryville Gun Range

Just to let everyone know ,
The Henryville range is now open .

Kpierce , his Dad , and Myself went Late this afternoon .

Took a few toys as it was a last minute get together ,
Sorry everyone we thought about a camera about 10 min after we got to the range ...lol

But we did have a good time been way to long since we got to let some MOSIN'S Talk

Good deal! How did you find out it was open again? Local Law Enforcement had to go to Seymour PD's range last Wedneday, because it was closed. At that time the DNR would not give them an approximate opening date. That's wierd.

What kind of range is it? Rifle, pistol, shotgun? Is it a public range?

Kpierce called me that friday and had found out it was open ..
As far as what kinda range it is ...It is a FREE one ....

Yes open to public if the police are not practiceing on it .
Not a real big place . you need to bring your own Paper targets .
But for free and shoot what ya got ...Nice place.

We have shot .50 BMG there

The range is open, you can shoot rifles and pistols, you just cant shoot fully auto weapons.

Can you just show up and shoot or do you need to sign up at the office.

You should sign in at office ..the office is on the next road past main entrance to the forestry ...

Ok, I don't have a problem with signing in, I just thought the office was only open during the week and I don't have time to go then. Thanks for the info.

Henryville Range

I am pretty sure there is no Sunday Shooting allowed at this range. Maybe because the office is closed. Anyway, that sucks, because I am always off Sunday, but have a random off day druing the week. Makes it hard to plan a day at the range there.

If you get there when the office is closed, there is a clipboard hanging out side to sign in. There is no shooting on Sundays.

Took my 11 yr old daughter there last Friday, her first time shooting, she had a great time. I now have a new shooting buddy.

Thanks, and I also wish they were open on Sundays. I would save my money from having to go to openrange in crestwood, ky.

if this is correct ... yes it is probably because it was shut down for them also ...they have been going to seymore i think
