There's certainly no shortage of either here. Our first full winter here ('15/'16) the squirrels packed more than 100 lbs. of pine cones into one of our kayaks that I had suspended in the garage. Still not sure how in the world they managed it.

Small Conibear trap over the entrance will put a stop to that. I dug about 2 gallons of pignuts out of the ex's cowling when the windshield wiper popped off the drive arm one day. Chipmunks and mice are public enemys 1 and 2 around here.
