    The T-Birds have been flying F-16s since 1983. Not those F-16s, but the Viper has been around for a while.

    Those are combat-ready aircraft. Run them through the paint shop and they are ready for air-to-air, air-to-mud, wild weasel, I think that's enough missions for one aircraft.

    77 today, Big Blue was 38 when I came on active duty. Getting to be a while ago.

    I like being retired more than I liked being active duty. I don't miss the BS. I miss the people (smart, funny, crazy, and highly dedicated all at the same time) and I miss the sound of afterburners.
