On 10 Nov. 1775 at the tun tavern in Philadelphia Pa. the United States Marine Corps was born. Today we celebrate 234 years of Honor, Courage, and Committment.
I own a little piece of every branch...but just a little more of the Marines than the rest. I'm not biased, though...
OK, maybe a little.
But you didn't hear that from me.
When I was a kid, we had a bunch of pictures hanging in our hallway.
One was of my brother in his sharp looking uniform. Every time any friends came over I always bragged him up and showed off the stuff he'd brought me from different places around the world.
Once when he came home on leave, I told him about doing that.
He walked over to the picture and said, "Huh. I guess it does seem like we all took better pictures if you don't know we were standing in our underwear..."
Oh way to go, big bro. Ruined THAT image! I never pointed out that picture again.
