I'm considering having the grip of my Glock 23 reduced to the length of a Glock 27. The purpose of this is to gain the ability to better conceal the gun, when desired and also increase magazine capacity when desired.

I found this example (YouTube - ‪Glock 23 Modified (.40 S&W), Grip Reduction / Chop‬‎, fast forward to 2:23); however, I'm looking for a company who can do this, locally. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My goal is to possibly obtain a Glock 19 and do the same thing. Anyone have any feedback on this direction? All comments are welcome, especially since I'm not sure how much this will cost. If the cost is beyond my price point (e.g., $350), I may as well just get a new gun for another $100. So, what say ye?

Hey guys, thanks for all the great information. I need to get some quotes and see if this is a feasible option for what I desire.

I know some people would be intrested in a chopped/reduced grip. I know I would be in for one. Maybe not a glock but this from burwells site looks great.

Well, it looks like wherever I go this is approximately a two month process. One guy even said he would have to have my gun for four months!

Thanks to Ernie at Hoosier Gun Coat, I found a local guy. As a matter of fact, he will be at FNS, but I'm not sure if he is a member here. I will hold off putting his name out there until I see how he does with mine. As soon as he is done I will post pics.

Just an FYI, he is charging $100 and will be done in two weeks.

I'd be interested in having my G20 cut down to my G29 size. It's just too big right now!! Also would like my G33 grip stippled. Someday....
