    You know, with all the anti bs in the media lately, what can be done to promote this actually making the news. I could care less whether or not the event received a huge amount of attention, but things like this merit a quick.."and in other news...". Glad your friend and family are safe.

    Outside of the police seizing the homeowner's weapon, doesn't this type of story just warm the cockles of one's heart?

    Oh well, every now and then a bad guy needs to clean his shorts out with the snow shovel.

    I think the police take the weapon hoping they can find some dirt on the fine american exercising his second ammendment rights. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

    What a story. Your friend ought to send this into the NRA magazine to be published with those other encounter stories...this is better than most I've read there in awhile.
